Fulham boss Scott Parker voices hopes of permanently landing Chelsea loanee Loftus-Cheek

Fulham boss Scott Parker is eager on making Chelsea loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s stay at Vicarage Road a permanent one at the end of this season should such an opportunity be presented to him.

Reports from the Metro have quoted the Lily Whites gaffer to be interested in signing the England international midfielder on a permanent basis when his current loan agreement comes to a close at the end of the ongoing season.

Loftus-Cheek had made his move to Vicarage Road last summer after months of inactive involvement within the first-team ranks of Chelsea and the midfielder has been an influential presence in the centre of the park for Fulham of late, earning Scott Parker’s praises.

“Yes, of course. Ruben has been a fantastic addition.

“I’ve seen someone grow immensely from the start of the season to a person and player now who has transformed. He’s grown massively and been a massive help for us.

“At the moment it’s just about this year for Ruben, focus on the next 10 games and where he can still get better. But at the end if there’s an opportunity to get it done I’d be more than happy to.”

New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will make the decision over Loftus-Cheek’s long-term future in the Blues shirt by the summer arrives and with Tuchel being stacked with midfield options at Stamford Bridge, the German could well offload the Englishman for a reasonable fee.
