Chelsea are imminent to confirm their first major departure of the ongoing summer transfer window in Fikayo Tomori who is in line to complete his move to long-term suitors AC Milan.
Reports from Football Italia claim that Tomori is backed to be announced as an AC Milan player on a permanent move very soon with the Blues set to receive €27 million to sanction the defender’s sale.
Tomori had joined the Serie A giants in the January transfer window earlier this year after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and after establishing first-team regular credentials the centre-back looked very likely to sign for them on an extended basis.
The England international featured in 17 games for AC Milan in their quest to achieve a top-four finish which was crucial for the Italian side who will now compete amongst Europe’s best in the Champions League next season.
Stefano Pioli’s Milan-based outfit are tipped to put out an official confirmation of Tomori’s transfer by Friday which will be their second signing of the window after Lille’s Mike Maignan arrived earlier at the San Siro.
