Everton are reportedly willing to sanction a January exit for Chelsea target Lucas Digne who has emerged as a name on the wishlist at Stamford Bridge.
Ben Chilwell’s rumoured long-term layoff due to an injury has forced the gaffer Thomas Tuchel to scout the market for reinforcements to add to his options at the back midway through the season.
Digne has been linked with a move to the English capital from Everton where his relationship with the new manager Rafa Benitez has soured and a departure from the Merseysiders looks imminent in the build-up to the winter transfer window.
According to the Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà ( via football.london), it is claimed that Everton are in line to allow the France international wing-back Digne to leave come January with the likes of Chelsea and Napoli keeping close tabs on the player.
Serie A holders Inter Milan are also in the mix for Digne’s signature but the Blues are likely to position themselves as frontrunners and convince the Everton man to sign on a loan agreement with an option to make the transfer permanent.
