Chelsea begin their 2022-23 Premier League campaign with a trip to Goodison Park as they face Frank Lampard’s Everton on opening day.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues will be eyeing the three points from the clash to kick off their new season in a grand manner and set the tempo for the games to come.
Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against Everton –
3-4-2-1
Edouard Mendy is the first-choice option for the Chelsea head coach Tuchel to draft between the sticks with the Senegalese hoping to keep a clean sheet in the first game of the Premier League season.
New signing Kalidou Koulibaly is expected to get his debut outing for his new side and should be joined by Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva at the back.
Reece James and Ben Chilwell are tipped to make the starting team sheet in the wing-back roles with N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount in the heart of the midfield.
In the attacking third of the pitch, new boy Raheem Sterling should slot in on the left side of the pitch and Kai Havertz on the right which allows Timo Werner to function in the No.9 role.
