Everton have reportedly tabled a £45 million bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who has found himself at the centre of attention in the final days of the January transfer window.
The likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Crystal Palace have been keeping tabs on the England international but it could be Everton who away away with his signature.
According to a report from The Athletic, it is claimed that despite making the move to Goodison Park not of appeal to the player, the Merseyside outfit have made a sizable £45 million offer for the Chelsea man.
With Chelsea set to bolster their midfield by completing the long-awaited transfer of Benfica talent Enzo Fernandes, the head coach Graham Potter could be willing to sanction Gallagher’s exit and raise some funds.
Gallagher has earned four caps for England and was a part of the country’s squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup but has failed to secure regular first team football at the Bridge under different managers.
