Everton are reportedly eyeing up a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek despite Thomas Tuchel keen on retaining the player for the remainder of the season.
In what are now are the final days of the January transfer window, Everton are looking to add to their injury-hit midfield department with the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph on the sidelines.
According to reports from The Daily Mail, it is suggested that the 25-year-old Loftus Cheek, who has been a bit-part player for Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge this season, is a top name on the wishlist for the Merseyside Blues.
The England international midfielder has not been able to cement a berth on the Chelsea team sheet of late but has turned out in 20 outings across all competitions with three assists to his name with speculation rife over his long-term future in the English capital.
Joining Everton in the fray for Loftus-Cheek ahead of Monday’s deadline day could be Italian giants Juventus with the Turin outfit keen on the Chelsea man as a replacement for Arsenal bound Arthur Melo.
