Last night, Ethan Ampadu put pen to paper. The Welshman extended his contract for further 5 years. The age he is in, the class he has and the skills that he has adopted practicing with Chelsea first team, he surely is an asset to the team.
The 18-year-old defender has also represented Wales national team and has not failed to impress everyone with his technical abilities.
His flair and progression has rewarded him a 5 year long contract with the Blues. The youngster has made commanding performances for Wales and has great maturity playing for the team.
Ampadu who turned 18 last week said, “I’m really proud and happy. I’m looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen.”
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia knows how important Ampadu will be in near future and added,” Ethan has shown great potential and unbelievable maturity since arriving at Chelsea a year ago. In this short time he managed to convince a lot of people with his exceptional quality and mentality and we look forward to watching him develop into a key player for the club over the coming years.”
