Chelsea’s Senegalese keeper, Edouard Mendy has asked his teammates to bounce back from their two successive defeats against Everton and Wolves and return back to winning terms before the West Ham game.
Chelsea lost to Everton 1-0 which was partly due to an error made by Mendy himself. He fouled Calvert Lewin in the penalty box to gift Carlos Ancelotti’s team a penalty from which they scored the only goal of the match.
Mendy addressed via Instagram to fight back from these two defeats and win all the way again against West Ham on the coming Monday. He knows that the thing of dominating and yet losing has hurt the core of the team and he wants to make everyone aware to remain focussed for the coming matches.
Mendy posted on Instagram saying: “Let’s continue to work hard and get back to our early season results.”
The result was very disappointing as the Blues were unable to open the scoresheet at Goodison Park but what made it worse was the game following that. Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud gave a lead after halftime which was equalized. When Chelsea got determined to go all for the three points, Wolves struck a winner in the dying minutes to snatch all the points from Lampard and his men.
Their 17-game unbeaten streak came to an end and they got hit in their confidence.
