Dortmund planning to extend Bellingham’s deal in blow to Chelsea’s transfer plans

Chelsea target Jude Bellingham is in line to pen a new contract at Borussia Dortmund which will extend his stay at the German outfit for another four summers, according to reports from The Sun.

Bellingham has emerged on the radar of a number of top clubs across Europe following his talents being noticed since he made the move to Dortmund from Championship side Birmingham City last year.

The Blues are amongst the clubs wanting to take on the England starlet who is a part of The Three Lions camp that will take on Croatia in the group stage opener on Sunday.

However, the recent developments in Bellingham’s case is bound to deliver a major blow to Chelsea’s plans for the teenage sensation whose initial deal with Dortmund ran for another two summers until 2022.

With the midfielder now planning to stay put for an additional two years at Signal Iduna Park, it will be quite difficult for Chelsea to coax the Bundesliga giants on parting ways with a player that is tipped to have a very bright future ahead of him for both club and country.
