In news that has taken Chelsea FC supporters on social media by storm, the Blues target Declan Rice has been seen pictured holidaying with Mason Mount. Rice, a West Ham United star, has been subject to great interest from Chelsea FC this summer. Frank Lampard is eager on securing a move for the 21-year old holding midfielder ahead of next season.
It is known that Mount, who has enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Blues this league campaign, is very good friends with Rice. The duo had come through the youth ranks of Chelsea FC together. However, Rice had been released by the club who are now chasing his signature when he had turned 14 years old.
To add to the intense speculation of Mount acting as an emissary for Chelsea FC to complete Rice’s signing, the pair were photographed with Blues legend Didier Drogba. The ex-Chelsea FC striker is regarded as one the best players to have played for the club in recent years. Moreover, the 42-year old is a close friend to the Blues coach Frank Lampard.
And fans of the West London outfit on Twitter wasted no time in branding Drogba as ‘Agent Drogba’. Many feel that the former Ivorian international will convince Rice to seal a move to Chelsea FC this summer amid strong speculation.
