The Blues could be gaining major ground in their attempts to secure the signature of West Ham United star midfielder Declan Rice with the player refusing to agree upon extended terms with The Hammers.
Reports from The Telegraph claim that Rice has twice turned down efforts from West Ham United to tie down their first-team regular to an improved deal which will fend off interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, for Rice who is currently starring for Gareth Southgate’s England at the UEFA European Championships, it seems that an exit from the London Stadium is on the cards this very summer.
Despite West Ham seeking a bid in the region of £100 million, it is believed that Rice will be keen on seeing his current club entertain offers at around £60 million which further adds to Chelsea’s advantage of putting them in the driver’s seat for the Englishman.
Manchester United and Manchester City both remain interested in the West Ham United man but Chelsea are backed to see off a battle from either side to bring Rice back to where he started his journey as a youth player.
