Chelsea exile Davide Zappacosta could be forced to stay put at the club beyond this summer with Inter Milan turning to Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin as their priority defensive target.
Reports from The Sun claim that the Serie A holders who have been on the lookout in the transfer market for Achraf Hakimi’s replacement are now eyeing up a move for Bellerin.
The Spanish international full-back is backed to call it quits at The Gunners this summer and he could emerge as one of the top names on the shopping list for Inter Milan who had earlier been linked with Chelsea man Zappacosta.
Zappacosta returns to the Blues first-team fold ahead of the start of the 2020-21 season on the back of his season-long loan spell at Italian outfit Genoa and the wing-back is hopeful of interest arriving in his services from Italy again with Inter Milan being considered the frontrunners.
Bellerin is three years junior to the 29-year-old Italy international Zappacosta and this could result in him being favoured for the vacant right wing-back role for which Inter plan to dip into the transfer market and bring in a fresh face.
