England midfielder Conor Gallagher is set to stay put at Chelsea despite interest from 5 Premier League clubs in his services in the January transfer window which closed on Tuesday.
The former Crystal Palace loan signing had been in much demand during the mid-season window due to his limited game time at Stamford Bridge which had sparked off speculation over his future in the Blues shirt.

According to a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, it is claimed that the Chelsea camp were not willing to sacntion Gallagher’s exit so late in the transfer window after allowing Jorginho to sign for local rivals Arsenal.
Jorginho’s departure has left the Blues head coach Graham Potter short of quality options in the midfield and Gallagher is said to be a viable option for Potter who has dealt with injury-prone options in his squad.
Gallagher impressed last year during his loan spell with Palace and he could be key to Chelsea’s fortunes for the second half of the season in which the west Londoners will look to bounce back from their lows.
