N’Golo Kante is not available for selection for Chelsea with the likes of Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi finding a spot on the teamsheet with Norwich City the visitors to Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel had a double injury setback ahead of Saturday’s game with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner sidelined for the forthcoming fixtures after picking up injuries earlier this week.
Chalobah starts at the back, Christensen benched
The in-form breakout star Trevor Chalobah is handed a start alongside Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva in the heart of the Blues backline.
Danish international Andreas Christensen drops down to the bench and so does skipper Cesar Azpilicueta which allows Reece James to make his first start since returning from an ankle injury.
Kai Havertz to lead the line with Lukaku injured
In the midfield department, N’Golo Kante is not available for unknown reasons as Mateo Kovacic returns to the XI to pair Jorginho in the centre of the park.
Romelu Lukaku’s absence owing to an injury means that Kai Havertz will be the central striker for Chelsea with the German partnered up top on the pitch by Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
