Confirmed Lineups: Chelsea vs Leicester City – Chalobah starts

Trevoh Chalobah is handed a rare Premier League start for Chelsea who play hosts to Leicester City in Saturday’s Stamford Bridge showdown.

Kalidou Koulibaly’s suspension opens the door for Chalobah to slot in the centre-back berth with Thomas Tuchel ringing in a few changes from the defeat to Leeds last time around.

Azpilicueta dropped from the defensive lineup

The skipper Cesar Azpilicueta gives way for Chalobah’s entry into the XI with the former dropping down to the bench after a horrid outing last weekend.

Thiago Silva is the other centre-back option for the home side who have Reece James playing in the heart of the defence with the returning Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the right wing-back role.

New-look midfield for Chelsea

Mason Mount, Jorginho and Connor Gallagher are three midfield options for Chelsea who could not call upon the services of injured duo N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic.

In the attacking lineup, Tuchel has gone ahead with a two-man front line with Kai Havertz joined by new boy Raheem Sterling for company in front of the goal.
