There are a host of changes on the show for the hosts Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel’s side welcoming Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge for the weekend’s contest.
Saul Niguez is in line to make his debut following his deadline day transfer to the Blues as the Spaniard gets a start in the centre of the park with N’Golo Kante missing out due to injury.
Chalobah, Hudson-Odoi handed starts by Tuchel
With Reece James handed a one-game suspension following his red card against Liverpool last time around, Callum Hudson-Odoi is the surprise replacement in the right wing-back role for his compatriot.
Tuchel tinkers around with his centre-back options as Thiago Silva and Trevor Chalobah are recalled into the XI with Azpilicueta and Christensen dropping out.
Lukaku leads the line despite some concerns over his fitness
The Belgium international, Chelsea’s star signing of this summer’s transfer window, had his fitness subject to much speculation following some concerns over his thigh niggle during the international break.
Lukaku, however, is drafted in the No.9 role for Chelsea with Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz his strike partners.
