Christian Pulisic is claimed to be in line to stage his return from a long-term ankle injury which has kept him out from on-field action for the last four weeks.
The American international winger started the new season on a good note with the Blues before testing positive for COVID-19 following which an ankle issue left him on the recovery table at Stamford Bridge.
According to reports from football.london, Pulisic will be returning to the Chelsea first-team fold by next week meaning Thomas Tuchel will be able to call upon the forward in the aftermath of the ongoing international break.
The Blues manager has often drafted Pulisic out on the flanks to great success early on this campaign before fitness issues meant a spell on the sidelines for the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
Romelu Lukaku’s arrival in the summer transfer window has given Chelsea some much-needed firepower in the striking role but Tuchel does need his other options to deliver returns in the wide positions to retain the momentum in the league.
