Chelsea’s top target Josko Gvardiol has a €50 million buy-out clause in his contract with RB Leipzig which was agreed upon in the summer.
The 20-year-old is understood to have been earmarked as the top name on Chelsea’s shopping list for the coming transfer windows with the Blues on the hunt for reinforcements to bolster their injury-stricken backline.
Graham Potter, recently appointed to the top job at Stamford Bridge, is looking to bring in a world-class centre-back to add to his options at the back and the Leipzig talent Gvardiol certainly fits the bill following his stellar run of recent showings.
According to a report from the Spanish outlet SPORT ( via The Daily Mirror), it is claimed that the Blues could be set to land Gvardiol for a €50 million price-tag come the summer of 2023 due to the defender’s release clause.
The Blues, however, are not the only top European club chasing the Bundesliga talent Gvardiol who also has Real Madrid and Manchester United in the mix for his signature ahead of the January window.
