Chelsea’s offer for Raheem Sterling has been accepted by Manchester City with Thomas Tuchel closing in on his first signing of this summer’s transfer window.
Sterling had been a top name on the shopping list for the Blues gaffer Tuchel who is keen to bring in reinforcements to bolster his forward lineup after parting ways with Romelu Lukaku last month.
The England international Sterling, following his fall down the pecking order in the Manchester City camp, was keen on the idea of making the move to Stamford Bridge where he would be promised a regular berth on the team sheet under Tuchel.
