Kai Havertz revealed the name of his idols in his latest interview. He said that he follows Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and they have forever been idols for him.
He also confessed that Ronaldinho was a player that he loved to watch in the past. He said that he loved to watch him, but he is not like him. He himself uses skills only in conditions where he craves it.
“I follow Cristiano Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi. They have always been idols for me,” said Havertz in an interview with Three’s Connect as per 90min reports.
“Ronaldinho was a player that I loved to watch in the past. I loved to watch him, but I’m not like him. I don’t skill too much, only in situations where I need it. When you go on social media, you always see many videos and skills, and I try to do them sometimes in games or sometimes in training.”
After testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month, the young German is yet to make a competitive appearance in over two weeks. Frank Lampard has confirmed that Havertz is back in the first-team training and this week he could be featured against Tottenham Hotspur.
Hailed as one of the best prospects in the world of football, Havertz sustained a mixed start to his Chelsea career. After a few lacklustre appearances in the Premier League, the German achieved an excellent hat-trick in the 6-0 demolition of Barnsley in the League Cup and displayed flashes of his grandness in the games that followed.
In the absence of him, Chelsea has gone from power to power and shifted to the top end of the Premier League positions. The Blues are only two points adrift of league leader Tottenham Hotspur and can leapfrog their regional opponents with a victory on Sunday.
