Ben Chilwell is out for England’s clash against Denmark after leaving the national team’s training camp with an injury to his foot as per the Chelsea Official site.
The new summer signing left-back of Chelsea was unavailable in Englan’s previous match against Belgium due to illness and trained alone at ST. George’s Park. His place was taken by Kieran Tripper where England beat Belgium after trailing.
The 23 years old foot injury is a pre-existing issue and the fitness of the fullback will be closely monitored by the Chelsea medical team as the Blue has an important few weeks ahead.
Earlier Chilwell was stopped to join Gareth Southgate’s England team when he along with Jadon Sancho attended Tammy Abraham’s party that violated the Covid law. But this recent injury news has been very concerning for the Chelsea fans as Chilwell just started hitting his form as he assisted and scored a goal in the previous match.
Till now, the left-back has only featured in one Premier League game for Chelsea after he moved from Leicester City this summer. He was unavailable from the beginning of the season also due to an injury and thus missed the opening games.
This given decision may be precautionary as believed by the board and he still might be on the team list to feature against Southampton on the coming Saturday.
