Juan Castillo will return to ADO Den Haag as he completed his loan terms with AZ Alkmaar as per the Official Website of Chelsea. He will now play the remaining of the 2020-21 season at ADO Den Haag on loan.
The Dutch fullback joined AZ Alkmaar, where his homeland is situated to make his debut in the top-flight fixture against Utrecht, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Juan Castillo moved to Stamford bridge from Ajax during the year 2016 in the summer transfer period. The Blues were interested highly in the full-back as he has not only captained the Amsterdam club but also was the captain of the youth Netherlands team. But he had to be sent away as Chelsea signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester and there was already Emerson and Alonso in that position.
Since joining, Castillo proved to be instrumental in winning the FA Youth Cup as well as the Premier League for the Under-18s in just his debut year. He even scored in Chelsea’s famous 9-2 victory against Tottenham later in the FA Cup.
Chelsea retained the Youth Club again in the next season in which Castillo was a regular starter. He even reached the UEFA Youth League for the U-18 side and netted his debut goal in the quarter-final of the Chekatrade Trophy.
Ajax snatched him in a season loan as he helped their U-21 to secure the fourth spot of the Dutch second division. Chelsea is still monitoring on him.
