Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is reportedly in line to snub a loan move to Manchester United this summer despite his limited first-team opportunities at the Bridge.
The USMNT star forward had sought showdown talks with the Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel to ascertain his place in Tuchel’s plans for the new season with Pulisic’s fall down the pecking order well documented.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, however, the former Borussia Dortmund starlet looks likely to turn down a potential move away from west London to sign for Chelsea’s arch rivals Manchester United.
United manager Erik ten Hag was willing to table a bid for the Chelsea outcast and offer him extended senior team action ahead of the World Cup later this year while Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid have also expressed an interest in the 23-year-old.
Pulisic’s chances of cementing a berth on the Chelsea team sheet have come under greater threat heading into the new season with Chelsea snapping up England international winger Raheem Sterling from Manchester City to bolster their attack.
