Chelsea are credited with a strong interest in making a move for Charlton’s England U21 international shot-stopper James Beadle, according to reports from The Sun.
The 17-year-old has been tipped to have a bright future on the back of his impressive run of displays between the sticks for Charlton in the Championship.
With Edouard Mendy firmly placed as Chelsea’s custodian in goal, there does not seem to be an urgent need to bring in reinforcements in that position at Stamford Bridge but Beadle stands out as a promising talent for Thomas Tuchel’s camp.
The Blues view the teenage shot-stopper as a mainstay for the future and could be in line to make a swoop for his services sooner rather than later despite Charlton’s reluctance on parting ways with the goalkeeper.
Kepa’s links with Serie A giants Juventus has added to the talk of the Spaniard’s exit from the Chelsea ranks being imminent ahead of the next summer with Lazio also keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old.
