Chelsea want Inter Milan wing-back Denzel Dumfries as a part of the deal involving Romelu Lukaku’s move back to San Siro this summer on loan.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is claimed that the Blues camp are keen on Dumfries being included in Inter Milan’s loan proposal for landing Romelu Lukaku’s signature.
Dumfries has proven to be an excellent piece of transfer business at San Siro since joining the Italians last summer from PSV Eindhoven and could be set to earn his ticket to the Premier League if Chelsea amp up their approach for the defender.
Inter are keeping close tabs on Lukaku’s situation in west London with the Belgium international demanding a move away from Stamford Bridge after failing to meet the expectations that had surrounded his big-money recruitment in 2021.
Thomas Tuchel, on the hunt for much-needed defensive reinforcements this summer, could be interested in lowering his pricing demands for Lukaku’s Inter move should Dumfries be included in the transfer offer.
