Chelsea vs West Ham Preview – Time for Lampard to bounce back | Premier League 2020/21

Chelsea will face West Ham United in their next Premier League home fixture on Monday night at Stamford Bridge. Lampard’s side has tasted back to back two defeats that ended their 17 games unbeaten streak in all the competitions.

The London derby on Monday night is very important for the Blues as tasting another defeat means going to the lower half of the Premier League table despite playing so well in the last two months.

Everton beat them 1-0 while when they wanted to move on from the defeat, Wolves gave them a disappointing defeat as they struck the winner late in the match and win it by 2-1 score.

Chelsea is now in the eighth position in the table and are nine points of Liverpool who is currently sitting on the summit.

West Ham is just behind the Blues, having 21 points. They have won thrice and drew once in their last five games and it won’t` be easy for Chelsea to beat them.

TEAM NEWS

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech will go through late fitness tests before the game and Lampard has still not blown any possibility of their return to the squad list. Both of these players were out with a hamstring injury and Hakim Ziyech’s presence will surely increase the attacking threat of the Blues. They returned to full training on Friday and time will say if they will be included in the list or not.

West ham will not have Antonio, who is struggling to recover from the hamstring injury that has ruled him out of his previous three games as well.
