It is another London derby on the cards this Sunday with an under-fire Chelsea side playing hosts to their rivals from across the city Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel’s men have misfired in recent weeks and a 1-1 stalemate away at Brighton added to the misery for the west Londoners whose faltering challenge for the title looks all but over.
Sitting third in the league standings, a top four finish will be high on the priority list at the Bridge with the likes of West Ham United, Manchester United and Spurs themselves hoping to make a push for the coveted Champions League qualification berths.
Chelsea’s recent run of form has been far from encouraging barring the showings in the Carabao Cup where they stand assured of a matchup in the final against rivals Liverpool.
A return to winning ways, however, will be of much importance to Tuchel’s Chelsea outfit when they step out on home turf over the weekend in the high-billed derby game against Antonio Conte’s Spurs.
