Chelsea are unlikely to make an approach to sign free agent Cristiano Ronaldo following his exit from the Manchester United camp earlier this week.
United decided to terminate their contract with Ronaldo after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan effectively brought the curtains down on his second spell at Old Trafford and opened the exit door for the 37-year-old forward.
Despite recent reports suggesting that Chelsea were amongst the frontrunners to bring in Ronaldo when the transfer window reopens in January, the Blues are said to be less than enthusiastic about landing his signature.
According to a report from The Sun, it is claimed that the Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly, who had been keen to sign Ronaldo last summer, has gone cold on the idea of making a move for Ronaldo and could look elsewhere for alternatives.
The new Chelsea boss Graham Potter is expected to dip into the market for reinforcements to bolster his front line come the new Year when the transfer window reopens for business and provides him with the chance to bring in fresh faces.
