Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is hard at work to ensure a second signing for the Blues in Saul Niguez who has been on the radar of Thomas Tuchel in this summer’s transfer window.
With Tuesday’s deadline day fast approaching, Chelsea are facing a race against time to sign Saul from Atletico Madrid who are believed to be open to letting the player leave the club.
There had been conflicting reports of Chelsea reaching upon an agreement with Atletico Madrid over landing Saul’s signature on a season-long loan deal which was followed by the talk of the player choosing to stay put beyond the summer.
According to reports from The Daily Express, Granovskaia is pushing for a deal to bring in Saul to Stamford Bridge with the Spain international’s arrival tipped to bolster Thomas Tuchel’s side which have gotten the new season off to a great start.
The west Londoners secured two wins out of their opening two games in the Premier League before holding a high-flying Liverpool side to a 1-1 draw in the Anfield showdown this past weekend.
