According to the latest reports Premier League club, Chelsea has been urged to sign midfielder Jack Grealish from Aston Villa by former Blues superstar Alan Hudson.
Ever since taking charge of the Chelsea football club in the summer, Frank Lampard has done quite a decent job with the players at his disposal and helped the youngsters to develop into big-game players. Chelsea was not allowed to sign any players in the summer but can do so this January as their transfer ban has been lifted.
In a bid to secure their 4th spot on the Premier League table and qualify for the Champions League next season, the English manager would prefer to strengthen his squad through new signings in this transfer market.
Former Chelsea midfielder Hudson has stated that Aston Villa captain Grealish has all the qualities required to fill the creative void left in the Chelsea squad following Eden Hazard’s departure to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old Englishman has been in sublime form for the newly promoted Aston Villa this season, dragging them out of precarious situations almost single-handedly and keeping their hopes of staying up in England’s top-flight alive with vital goal contributions.
However, Hudson believes that the Aston Villa captain would be a great fit for Frank Lampard’s team and that they should consider signing him in the transfer market.
While speaking to reporters he admitted that Grealish could fill the void left by Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard, “Grealish is the most outstanding attacking midfield player in the game at this moment. A player who goes past people and scores goals. The bottom line is Chelsea haven’t got anyone since Hazard left who has the fans on the edge of their seats. Jack Grealish would be that man.”.
