Chelsea told to fork out £45 million asking price for Brighton ace Marc Cucurella

Chelsea have reportedly been told to fork out a sizable £45 million asking price for Brighton ace Marc Cucurella’s signature this summer.

Cucurella was one of the standout performers for the high-flying Brighton outfit this season with the Spaniard impressing in his first season in the Premier League after making the move from La Liga outfit Getafe.

Thomas Tuchel’s interest in the wing-back has been well documented in the past and now with speculation rife over the future of Marcos Alonso at the Bridge, Cucurella could emerge as a top name on the shopping list for the Chelsea manager.

According to a report from The Sun, however, the potential piece of transfer business is expected to turn into a costly affair for Tuchel who has been told to shell out a sum of at least £45 million to emerge as the winners in the race for the Brighton first-teamer.

There is no shortage of big-name suitors in the market for Cucurella, suggests the rumour mill, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Premier League holders Manchester City also keeping close tabs on the Spanaird.
