Chelsea are set to rethink their plans of making loan signing Saul Niguez’s stay at Stamford Bridge permanent beyond the summer.
The Spain international made the move to the English capital last summer from Atletico Madrid with Chelsea landing the midfield maestro in a loan deal with an option to buy.
According to reports from The Daily Star, it is claimed that Saul’s return to consistency in form of late could mean Chelsea mulling over the option to sign permanently come the end of the season when the player’s loan stay concludes.
Saul endured an underwhelming start to life in the Premier League but his showings in recent times has sparked speculation that Chelsea might be inclined towards making a permanent offer for his signature to add depth to the ranks.
Thomas Tuchel could be in the transfer market for reinforcements in midfield with the Chelsea boss eyeing up the likes of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Declan Rice, the latter linked with an exit from the West Ham fold sooner rather than later.
