Chelsea are reportedly in line retain the newly appointed Graham Potter as their manager for a long-term project under the club’s new owners.
The Blues board are hopeful to see the club secure a top four finish in the Premier League this season under Potter’s charge but should a Champions League berth not come their way, Potter’s job would still be safe.
Todd Boehly, who took over as the owner earlier in the year from the embattled Roman Abromovich, is looking to make Potter a part of his long-term plans at Stamford Bridge with the latter joining Chelsea on a five-year deal.
Potter has been assured he will get full backing from the Chelsea top officials who were fully behind the now sacked Thomas Tuchel in overhauling his squad in the summer transfer window with a spending of £275 million.
Tuchel, however, failed to impress the new owners early on in the campaign with Chelsea finding themselves 10th in the league standings and suffering a shock Champions League opener defeat to Dinamo Zegrab.
