Chelsea are planning to table a shock offer of Stamford Bridge outcast Romelu Lukaku plus cash for Tottenham Hotspur dangerman Harry Kane.
Lukaku was shipped out to Inter Milan in this summer’s transfer window on loan with the Belgian, who became Chelsea’s record signing in the summer of 2020, failing to impress during his return campaign in the Premier League.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato Web, it is claimed that the new Chelsea head coach Graham Potter is keen to move in for Kane and entice the England skipper to sign for the Blues.
Romelu Lukaku could be sent in the opposite direction with the embattled Chelsea loanee not expected to resist a move to Spurs where his former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is currently at the helm of affairs.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be parting ways with Lukaku only for him to go to Spurs amid rumours that the Stamford Bridge camp had agreed upon a second loan spell for Lukaku with Inter.
