The Blues’ interest in signing Bayern Munich contract rebel Kingsley Coman is understood to be strong enough for the west Londoners to offer Callum Hudson-Odoi as a makeweight in their offer.
Reports from French news outlet L’Equipe claim that Hudson Odoi, a long-term target for Bayern Munich who had seen their repeated bids turned down by Chelsea, could be offered to the Bavarian giants by Chelsea in this summer’s transfer window.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been on the hunt for new attacking players ahead of the new Premier League season which kicks off in less than four weeks and Coman has been one of the names that has been scouted by Tuchel and his backroom staff.
Coman’s demands of a major wage bump at Bayern and the club’s reluctance to hand the France international winger a new deal has given birth to talk that the player will seek a move away from the Allianz Arena this summer with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in line to table an offer.
Tuchel’s desire to bring in a big-name forward this summer has failed to materialise so far with his priority target Erling Haaland looking all set to stay put at the German outfit beyond this summer.
