With the Blues boss Thomas Tuchel eager to land the signature of the Inter Milan first-team regular ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, a £52 million fee plus Alonso has been sent out by Chelsea for the Italians to ponder over, claim reports from The Sun.
The Serie A champions are believed to be in line to offload a host of their top performers from last season’s title-winning heroics owing to the financial worries at the club brought about by the raging pandemic.
Hakimi is one such name who is certain to leave San Siro in this summer’s transfer window amid growing interest in the former Real Madrid man from the likes of Chelsea and Paris-Saint Germain, both of whom are willing to fork out a big-money fee to sign the player.
Alonso has largely played second fiddle to Ben Chilwell last season and despite his solid performances when given a chance out on the field, the Spaniard’s future is understood to be away from Stamford Bridge considering the recent developments in Chelsea’s pursuit of Hakimi.
