Joachim Andersen could emerge as a target for both Chelsea and Manchester United should the Premier League duo fail to land their top names on the shopping list for the summer transfer window.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a host of quality defensive talents in Real Madrid’s wantaway central defender Raphael Varane and Sevilla youngster Jules Kounde.
However, with increasing speculation of Varane staying put at Real Madrid beyond this summer’s transfer window and Kounde’s sale not being approved by the Sevilla board, the Blues will be forced to turn to the 25-year-old Andersen who was on loan at Fulham last season, according to reports from The Sun.
The Denmark international has the experience of playing in the Premier League and with his parent club Lyon understood to be looking to sanction his sale for a fee north of £25 million, Chelsea will be challenged once more by Manchester United on the transfer front for the central defender.
Thomas Tuchel could further lose out on Kurt Zouma after previously offloading Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton showing interest in signing Zouma this summer on a permanent basis.
