Chelsea are understood to be tempted to cash in on the high-flying Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window following his World Cup heroics in Qatar.
Ziyech has been instrumental in his country Morocco reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup, a first for an African nation, and his stock has never been higher following his displays in the Middle East.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that the Stamford Bridge camp could pocket a fee in the region of £30 million for Ziyech with the funds likely to be used by the new head coach Graham Potter in his first transfer window.
With the Premier League season getting back underway on Boxing Day later this month, Potter will have to make the decision over Ziyech’s future with the former Ajax playmaker looking for an exit route to earn a lifeline for his career.
The Blues, meanwhile, remain on the search for viable options to reinforce their front line in the coming months with their summer signings, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, failing to hit the ground running.
