Chelsea target Jules Kounde has set his sights on a move to Manchester United in what will come as a major blow to Thomas Tuchel’s plans of landing the Frenchman from Sevilla next summer.
The central defender has been one of the top names on the shopping list in this summer’s transfer window for Tuchel and Chelsea who were unable to secure his signing despite repeated attempts owing to pricing concerns.
Speculation has been rife that the Blues will be keen on reviving their interest in Kounde next summer with Thomas Tuchel’s efforts to tie down his star defender Antonio Rudiger to a new long-term deal proving futile.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have emerged as the latest suitors for the Sevilla defender Kounde but reports from Spanish news outlet El Nacional ( via The Daily Mirror) suggest that the player will be more keen on making the move to England’s top flight.
Kounde is wary of the possible lack of first-team action under Carlo Ancelloti at Real Madrid and has instead asked of his agents to initiate talks with the Manchester United camp over a deal to go through next summer.
