Declan Rice is unlikely to head out the exit door at West Ham United in this summer’s transfer window with the England international keen to play out another season for David Moyes and his men.
Rice had been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer on the back of his fine run of form for both club and country this past season which made Chelsea take note of his ability under their new coach Thomas Tuchel.
Manchester United too had been rumoured to be in the mix for Rice’s signature but reports from the Daily Mail suggest that the midfield maestro is set for another year in the West Ham shirt before taking a call on his future next summer.
With United spending big on the signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer and Tuchel’s Chelsea now involved in the final stages of a mega-money move for Romelu Lukaku, pricing concerns have meant that both clubs will no longer be prioritising a move for Rice in what remains of this transfer window.
It is believed that the summer of 2022 will see a renewed battle amongst some of England’s biggest clubs for landing Rice as the player will be keen on featuring in the Champions League.
