As revealed by the CST group on Twitter, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) have strongly criticized Chelsea FC for discontinuing the full subsidy for coach travel to domestic away games.
This decision was announced recently, although the club will still organize coaches for specific matches for both the men’s and women’s teams.
The exact cost of coach travel will be revealed when tickets become available for purchase. The initial coach service was for Chelsea’s upcoming trip to Bournemouth on September 17, initially priced at £29 per person.
However, the CST stepped in to subsidize the cost, reducing it to £10, aiming to draw attention to the club’s decision and provide more time for the club to reconsider based on feedback from user groups.
The CST argued that this decision would significantly increase the expenses for fans who depend on this service for away games. Chelsea’s rationale for the decision was that it was financially unsustainable to continue offering subsidized coach travel.

The Blues have announced that starting from their away game against Burnley after the international break, fans will be informed of the cost of coach travel when tickets are released.
This decision from Chelsea comes amid significant spending by the new owners, who have broken the British transfer record twice since their arrival at Stamford Bridge.
They spent £115 million to acquire Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion, surpassing the previous record set when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106 million in January.
Despite making around £270 million from player sales this summer, the West London club has spent over £900 million across three transfer windows since the takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
