Chelsea Suffer Setback Bournemouth Striker Not For Sale, Claims Manager

The Blues have received a major setback after Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe claimed that his star striker Callum Wilson is not for sale.

Chelsea is currently doing very well for themselves under new manager Maurizio Sarri as the Italian has embedded his philosophy into the club. The West London club is sitting pretty on 2nd place in the Premier League and has proved that they are worthy title contenders alongside Manchester City and Liverpool.

However, the only cause of concern for Chelsea has been a proper goalscoring center-forward who can finish off the chances that are created by the playmakers. At the moment, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud look out of touch and aren’t able to contribute massively with goals.

Therefore, Chelsea was looking to swoop in for a deal to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in the winter transfer window for £35 million. The Englishman has helped the Cherries to 6th place in the league and is scoring and laying off assists for fun right now.

But Chelsea’s hopes for signing Wilson took a turn for the worst as Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe confirmed that his 26-year-old prized asset was not leaving the Vitality Stadium anytime soon.

While speaking to Bournemouth Echo, Howe was asked about whether he would be interested in letting Wilson leave to which the English manager said, “Of course not, From my position, sitting here as the manager, I’m looking to build a team I still feel we are a relatively new team with this group of players and the signings we made in the summer. I’m really pleased with how the squad is set up and the structure of it and I don’t want to break that.”

Chelsea will now have to look at alternatives at Howe has confirmed that Wilson will not leave Bournemouth. There are plenty of top strikers in Europe at the moment and the Chelsea transfer board has a task on their hands.
