Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea do not enjoy any chance of landing the much-sought-after signature of Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland upon the opening of this summer’s transfer window.
The 20-year-old star striker has often been linked with a switch to English top-flight football and interest from a host of sides across the country has made Haaland the subject of a widely-contested race amongst the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, according to claims from the Daily Mail, Haaland would prefer sealing a move to Anfield or Old Trafford over signing terms with the Stamford Bridge outfit, with Manchester City also being mooted as a prospective candidate to land Haaland.
Thomas Tuchel is known to be wanting to add reinforcements to his often misfiring frontline and Timo Werner’s goal drought of late has rumoured to have convinced the new Chelsea boss of making moves in the transfer market next time around.
Tuchel will now have to look at alternative options to add to his club’s attacking core as a long-term target in the form of Haaland looks to rebuff interest from the Blues in the hopes of turning out for their immediate rivals in the Premier League.
