According to the club’s official website, Sunderland have managed to secure a loan deal with Chelsea for their promising striker, Mason Burstow, who is presently undergoing training with the Black Cats.
This signing adds to Sunderland’s growing list of completed summer transfers as the window approaches its end. The talented 20-year-old was among the substitutes for Chelsea’s Premier League season opener against Liverpool.
Burstow made appearances as a substitute in Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to West Ham at the London Stadium and also in their match against Luton Town.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino showed confidence in the youngster by starting him in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup game against Wimbledon.

Sunderland’s successful signing of Burstow is a notable achievement for the club, particularly considering their recent activities in the transfer market.
The Black Cats recently sold their centre-forward, Ross Stewart, to Southampton for an initial fee of £8 million, as part of their squad restructuring efforts.
Chelsea have also been quite active during the summer transfer window, with their most recent signing being the promising young talent Cole Palmer from Manchester City, secured for a sum of £42.5 million.
Palmer has showcased his skills with notable performances in the UEFA Super Cup and the FA Community Shield, even scoring in both matches.
Looking ahead, Chelsea are set to take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, while Sunderland are gearing up to host the newly relegated Southampton in the Championship.
