Chelsea still have a keen interest in signing Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez ahead of the upcoming January transfer window in which the Blues are expected to bolster their squad.
The Stamford Bridge outfit saw a £43 million bid for the Mexican midfield maestro rebuffed in the final stages of the summer window but Chelsea reportedly remain keen on landing Alvarez.

According to a report from football.london, it is claimed that Chelsea have their priority set on adding to their midfield ranks when the transfer window reopens for business in the New Year and the next summer as well.
West Ham United maestro Declan Rice is said to be Chelsea’s first name on their shopping list to reinforce their engine room and the Blues are gearing up make an offer for the England international come the end of the season.
