Chelsea are claimed to be stepping up their chase for Monaco talent Aurelien Tchouameni who has been a long-term target for Thomas Tuchel since this summer’s transfer window.
The Ligue 1 midfield starlet has seen his stock grow in world football courtesy of his fine run of showings for Monaco over the past year and Chelsea have been backed to be leading the race to land his signature.
Tchouameni, who is just 21 years of age, could prove to be a fantastic piece of business done by Chelsea in the transfer market and reports from Tuttomercatoweb claim that the Blues are in line to make greater strides in their efforts to sign the youngster.
N’Golo Kante’s injury troubles have kept the highly-rated midfield man on the sidelines of late and this could convince Thomas Tuchel to scout the market for a player who can serve as a long-term replacement for Kante in the centre of the park for Chelsea.
The Blues, however, will not be the only Premier League heavyweight in the race to sign Tchouameni with domestic rivals Manchester United also tipped to approach Monaco for their prized midfield asset.
