Chelsea contract rebel Mason Mount has appointed a new agent to secure a potential transfer away in this summer’s transfer window.
Mount will enter the final year of his Chelsea deal at the end of the season and recent reports have suggested that the England playmaker is looking to sign for another club after talks to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge hit a roadblock.
The Blues camp have been reluctant to shell out a big money deal to Mount for a long-term extension and the Chelsea board could be forced to cash in on the player rather than risk losing him for nothing in a year’s time.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that Mount has a new agent by his side – Neil Fewings from Roof – which could set the stage for his exit from west London this summer as England’s biggest clubs remain on red alert.
Liverpool have been tipped as the frontrunners to land the midfielder’s signature with the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp identifying Mount as a viable signing to bolster his midfield roster for the next season.
