The Blues are reportedly ready to lose Alvaro Morata this summer transfer window as Atletico Madrid are preparing a permanent deal for the Spanish striker.
Chelsea will be in a tough spot this season and Frank Lampard will have a difficult job on his hands as he decides on which players to keep and sell this summer. The Blues will endure a transfer ban which means no player can be signed at the club for a whole year.
There has been some speculation revolving around most of the players at the club and one of them is Spanish star Alvaro Morata.
The 26-year-old forward has struggled to adapt to life in England since his move to Stamford Bridge back in the summer of 2017 and has openly discussed his problems. At the start of this year, Chelsea decided to loan out Morata to Atletico Madrid in order for him to get some regular football as well as build up some confidence in front of goal.
Morata has looked sharper over the past few months but Chelsea is now offering the La Liga club an ultimatum of purchasing Morata or cutting short his loan spell. The Spanish forward has now begun training in the preseason with Atletico Madrid and the Rojiblancos and lining up a move to keep him at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico Madrid is considering keeping Morata at the Spanish capital on a permanent basis by taking up the £50 million offer for the forward and looking to cash in on Antoine Griezmann instead.
