The Blues are looking to step up their approach for West Ham United’s wantaway midfield maestro Declan Rice with Chelsea set to extend an offer for the long-term Stamford Bridge target.
Reports from Eurosport claim that Chelsea are in line to touch base with their city rivals West Ham for Rice’s signature and are keen on tabling an opening offer for the England international to get a lay of the land on his transfer situation.

Thomas Tuchel has been backed to spend big this summer, his first transfer window as the Chelsea gaffer, and Rice along with Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland are the top two names on his shopping list, according to speculation.
With Haaland highly unlikely to arrive at Stamford Bridge ahead of the next season, prioritising a move for Rice is the need of the hour for Tuchel and Chelsea who stand to gain massively from the player’s addition to the Chelsea camp this summer.
Chelsea have already shipped out the young midfield talent Billy Gilmour off to Premier League new boys Norwich City which has opened up a vacancy in the Blues midfield department for Rice to potentially fill in.
