The Blues are in line to slash the price-tag on Tammy Abraham’s head with the England international being eyed up by a number of clubs across the Premier League in this summer’s transfer window.
Despite West Ham United, Aston Villa and Arsenal, the latter of whom are the latest entrants in the race to sign Abraham this summer, all show strong interest in the Chelsea man are seemingly put off by the asking price for the striker.
Thomas Tuchel’s camp have held firm over a £40 million offer to sanction the sale of the 23-year-old Abraham who is out-of-favour with the new boss at Stamford Bridge after his hiring earlier this year following club legend Frank Lampard being handed the axe.
Reports from The Sun claim that Tuchel could be convinced of lowering Abraham’s valuation to £35 million with West Ham and Arsenal’s interest in landing the player not able to be materialised owing to pricing concerns.
The Gunners under Mikel Arteta are backed to now be in the driving seat to sign Abraham ahead of the next season with an initial loan agreement with an obligation to make the transfer permanent clause included.
